Plating

I know cadmium plating is hard to come by but I have heard some folks have be using yellow zinc with similar results and appearance. Does anyone have any recommendations? Reasonably local shops that will do small batches? I have a couple large items I can do with my Copy Cad kit.

Search the main forums on Mud, there are places you can send stuff to out of the area. In regards to this area check down in Richmond and up Baltimore. I know that there used to be a few places but the EPA constantly tightening up, it's harder and harder for these kinds of places to stay in business as they cause a lot of pollution.

I used to be really into antique motorcycle restoration and a lot of the guys in the area sent stuff down to Richmond for plating and polishing. I can check with a few of them if you don't run into anything.
