For reasons not needing to be discussed. we are parting out a 1973 FJ 40. (at least that is what the door plate says the vehicle is) Many of the parts being sold are obviously newer model parts.
Everything is OBO unless noted next to item. Also shipping is the responsibility of purchaser. All parts located in Indiana from zip 46123.
No pictures at current time, but if you have interest I can snap specifics for you.
the history I have on the vehicle is minimal, I bought the vehicle planning to rebuild for my teenage step daughter three months ago. The previous owner stated that it ran great when he last drove it 2 years ago. So I imagine the drive train is in good shape. when I had a battery in it, all electrical seemed to also function. Other than that I can not testify further on the condition of overall mechanical operation. At this time I have decided to part it out retaining some of the parts for my Step sons FJ 40 project.

2F motor de-smogged-good compression when I checked it (all cylinders were 150+ psi after I put oil in cylinders. Does have a hole in oil pan, but I have a replacement I will include with sale. Brand new NGK plugs as well as new distributor cap and rotor. Have new Wix air filter and oil filter 375.00 prefer to not part motor out/sale as a whole. Currently some external parts are off motor but available (we were going to powder coat the valve cover and some other brackets) Buyer responsible to arrange shipping. Sale pending
4 speed transmission & transfer case (did not test transfer case–I assume it is functional. Would prefer not to split but will, if need be total $300.00 Buyer responsible to arrange shipping. Sale pending
front doors in A+ condition, no rust visible but both doors need new window regulators…otherwise perfect. $200 each.
smog components a bit rough but can have sand blasted if needed for extra cost $75 for everything
roll bar might need to have one foot replaced but otherwise very good condition $80
tube tire carrier drivers side type. needs new bottom hinge but overall solid. can sand blast prior to shipping for extra fee$75
stock steering tie rod appears to be bent but remaining items for the push pull system seem to be in good shape. 100.00
turn signals/marker lights orange colored some minor surface rust on chrome $50 for bothSOLD
windshield wiper arms (bottom mounted) will need new blades $15 a piece

front disced FJ 40 axle not sure of the year, nor the gears inside but axle is complete. Will need to be rebuilt but willing to separate as I am not too excited on getting rid of the birfs. Not a bad idea to keep them as spares for myself. Brakes need to be replaced (at least the dust shield) $150
rear FJ 40 axle drum brakes, complete again not certain on gear ratio nor year. $145 OBO(First rememberd this axle as a centered diff, but it is not, it is the type shifted to the passenger side.)

fender aprons just bought to replace existing ones A++ condition, no rust $65

I will also have at later date a set of 31x10.5x15 parelli scorpions (?)tires very good condition with white wagon spoke 15"x 8" or 7" (not sure on width) type steel wheels (wheels do show some rust but minor) prefer not to separate tires from wheels they are steal at $135 for all 4. I need these currently to move the two FJ's around in my driveway/garage. but if you are interested, I will let them go
