So if im coming back from Pismo, i should run it from Refugio and back over the 154?
-yes-
I'd like to hit the trail on the way home from Pismo.. Can i run it and pop out on the southern section the 154 fwy?
-yes, you end up on 154 about 10 miles N of 101-
Is there a trail head i can locate on a map? I don't know the area, i dont know where Refugio Road is either. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Do you have a link for it? I searched but found nothing in particular but hiking info.
-you get off 101 on Refugio road, go N up the mountain, gets windy. You'll end up at an intersection of sorts at the top: straight N down to Santa Ynez that says road closed (it's not) and right East is WCC. This should be on maps. It's on the USGS topo maps for sure and likely on mapquest etc. PM me if you get desperate. Heck, might even meet you if time is right. Also, further South there are some interesting trails N of Ojai...-
Side note: Was hoping to see a launch @ Vandenburg.. but no such luck. February 7, 2007 is the next launch.
see above
oh, about half way down the dirt road there is an interesting side hill you could have some fun with. At least 35 degrees (not %), fine loose dirt and gravel, few bumps... Luggage and family not recommended!
