Looks like a great time. I have been thinking of going somewhere like that. How about give me some details of the location so I will know where it is and how to plan for it.
thanks

No problem, its easy to get too and there is a ton of things to see up there. Plus the camp ground is clean and my wife loves the ability to have hot showers.

I got your PM. I'm going to try Davidson. Thanks.

Made them still looking for better handles. Made them of 1/2 inch birch ply. Snorkel and Drawers that's a lot of beer and pizza .lol

Love your Nemo tent! Best company in the world!

Yes they are! This tent hasn't had one leak and it rains almost every time we camp. The garage vestibule is perfect for storing bags and equipment. They make a killer camp pillow too.

Good trout fishing too..

The Davidson has some great fly fishing for trout!;) I see you have a Yeti. Thats the best money I have ever spent. It will hold ice for days. Actually I have problems with ice freezing solid. So I bring a ice pick now. I was down in the Keys tarpon fishing a few weeks back. And we had a hard time getting the lid open from the air tight seal. Until we learned the trick of opening the drain to break the seal.;) These are all problems I have never had with a cooler. I use it as a casting platform and seat on my flats skiff. We camped for 5 days with it. I packed it solid with ice only. And used my old cooler to hold food/drinks. Then we would add fresh ice from the Yeti when needed. This limited openings of the Yeti. We still had ice when we left on day 5.:grinpimp: I think we could have went 7 days! And its a 1/4 the price of a ARB fridge.

I just had the solid ice block this weekend, nothing one swift drop to the ground won't fix. For the 4-5 days we sometimes camp you cant beat it even with the kids going in and out of it ,it holds up well. And the most important reason for the cooler ,the wife said:censor: NOOOOOOOOOOO to the Fridge idea

most of the time when I get the ice block it is because the cooler was warm when i put the ice into it. Only takes 10-20* warmer and will cause the ice to get clear and shiny...and then when it cools down and solidifies again you get the block. COLD ice will be white...if it is clear then it is starting to melt. :)

Bring the cooler into your house an put a bag of ice in it overnight before you load it up...it gets the core of the cooler down quite a bit and then you can empty it and dry it out good...and refill with the good ice and stuff for your trip. if you do this your ice will usually last longer and wont block up as bad as long as your chest is insulated well and you dont have a bad gasket seal when shut that is letting in warm or hot moist humid air. Got a friend that would put his in a walk in freezer first...and then fill it with ice straight from there. It would keep ice for a week...

Brock is 100% right.

yes very true it sat in the cruiser all week in 100F before I put the ice in, it was one of those last minute wheres the beer going to go deals.

I'm in the market for a new tent myself. I lent my nephew my big tent to go to a woodstock type concert. After that week of him and his friends getting drunk and partying in the rain, I told him I didn't want it anymore. It was gross.
So, now I am going to buy two tents. One, for when it's just me and maybe the wife and a large one for the whole family. If I get a smaller one, I will look into the Nemo, which I have never heard of. Right now I may be buying the Marmot Halo 6 or the Big Agnes Flying Diamond 6 or 8.

my 3 person and 5 person tents are both Mountain Hardwear....hard to beat and if you buy from Moosejaw.com or a couple other sites can get last years models on sale with significant savings.

I would look into mountain hardware or nemo both are great companies and the tents are probably made overseas in the same factory. We like the garage vestibule on the Nemo to store gear, and the luxury camp pillow they make is awsome.

I lie the Nemo and have always liked Mountain Hardware, but neither make a tent large enough for 5 people to our level of comfort. Big Agnes makes awesome stuff and I may go that route. My only reserve is, they are so large that they will not fit on most, if not all, pads.
