Pioneer AVIC navigation

Hi guys,
I am looking at purchasing a Pioneer AVIC navigation system for my FJ, but have been told that the nav maps do not show forest service roads, off-road trails, etc. In talking to a rep today, I still have no definitive answer. The best I learned was that the nav would keep track of my route so I could backtrack my route w/o getting lost on unfamiliar forest roads. I was hoping for a complete map as it does for city roads, interstates, etc. Does anyone have this system and does it actually have maps of forest service roads, etc? A big thanks in advance!!!

Garmin has a lot of optional software that will load to various of their units. You can load usgs topos, marine charts etc. Not sure about forrest service roads, but check with Garmin at garmin.com. I'm leaning towards the Quest, which is not a permanent mount, but a portable that installs in the car and you can also take as a handheld or on your boat.
