I'm in the market now for a pintle hitch receiver for my class three hitch on my Cherokee. As I'm looking at them they come in different sizes depending on what size the lunette is. I have an original mbt lunette and was curious what size pintle you guys run with your m100s or 416s? They are super expensive so I want to get one to meet my needs. Thanks

Almost any of them will work, I buy by the weight rating and the type of attachment method.

I bought a surprisingly inexpensive HF pintle mount plate in 2" size, that even more surprisingly turned out to have a solid shank. Seems quite sturdy actually. Made in India I think, oddly. Forgot the rating but probably at least 10K/1K lbs. Several bolt positions and can be turned either direction, for lots of height adjustability. I bought then a 4 bolt pintle jaw affair from a major US manufacturer, they come in a number of sizes and ratings. Not too expensive. All that works fine with my M105 lunettes which are gigantic compared to the M416.
So, wasn't too expensive overall and very modular and flexible. Plenty of choices.
