Anybody notice any pinging noise when driving uphill with their FJ? I noticed this the other day and I don't think it has happened before. Seems to only happen around 2100 - 2400 RPM. It sounds very faint but I can hear it. I always use 92 octane.

Have a Scan Gauge or eqiv to check for trouble codes?
My 5AT lugs down to 1100 rpm all the time even going uphill under load and I get zero pinging. If under warranty take it to the dealer. It's possible a knock sensor is bad or you have an exhaust leak.
