My other expensive hobby is hiking...for what ever reason I am drawn to Glacier national park. I just got back from a 10 day trip up there with 3 other hiking buds (my bro mike, best bud from back home larry, and my cousin dave)--we met up with my uncle and cousin who live in mt.
Here's a link with pics...many have captions that explain wtf I'm looking at. this is the first installment. my camera was having battery issues so I didn't take nearly was I would have. I have 3 more sets of pics coming. I'll post those when I get them.
We logged about 47 miles over 5 days of hiking. spent 2 days camped on the shore of lake mcdonald, 50 hours in the car, 1 day at freda's bar in west glacier. and somehow we managed to dodge fires the whole time.
trails we did:
Siyeh pass from piegan pass trailhead to sunrift gorge both on the sun road.
highline trail from logan to granite park.
loop trail from granite to the loop trail head.
hiked to sperry chalet via the floral park route.
sperry trail from the chalet to lake mcdonald.
and a few day hikes in between...
