amazing how much you have to shrink a 1 meg picture to get it below the posting limit.

Heath, thanks for posting the pics. A big group of us went out after the raffle, and got into some serious hill climbing. Of course, I left my FJ60 back in the campground, and rode shotgun with Randy Underwood. After "eagle eye" Randy spotted a broken spring center pin on a green FJ40 that one of our Arkansas guys was driving, that slowed the group down for a trail repair (Don Pennington had a spare!), and some of us had to leave to go back to camp. Randy let me drive "Animal", which is pretty impressive machine, but that V8 sure doesn't have the lugging power that a F/2F does, so I stalled it a couple of times. Still, it's pretty impressive.

Big Thanks goes to Ramsey Winch for providing a gift certificate for remote control, and for the excellent price on the Grand Prize Patriot 9500, which was won by Steve Thomas.

Also, I'd like to thank Mark Keily (OKoffroad.com), who provided a tool kit, as well as a number of his excellent tow straps/shackles (Dave R. and Eric C. cleaned up on those). Mark even got to stay and wheel with us in his Land Rover! Thanks for coming Mark.

Also, I'd like to thank Toyota of Dallas for providing some excellent raffle prizes and parts support.

All in all, a great event, with people from 5 different states in attendence, and everyone had a great time. Club member Dave Surface and his son, Darrel, made the longest haul, coming down from Denver/Greely, CO.

I'm looking forward to next year.

Thanks for posting the pics man!!!!!I had a blast and I want to say thanks to everyone on behalf of my wife and I, we had a great time.Let me know when you get that video up but please do me a favor... please don't compare my stock fj to Heep on 33's...there's no comparison. It's a jeep thing...and someday they'll really understand!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Heath!!!!!

Curtis, thank you very much for taking my wife with you on the run. She really enjoyed the difference in the suspension set-ups.Her little body couldn't take much more of this stock (old)FJ thrashing!!! I think your conversation with her about articulation hit home because on the way home we've reached an understanding on the benefits of a 4" OME spring lift!!!!!!!!!!!!Score one for the home team!!!!!! Thanks man!! Give me a call @ 405 413-6681 any time.Later

looks like you all had a great time. Wish I was there.

Great pics, Mike! And thanks for bringing down that tranny/bellhousing/cover/clutch arm. I forgot to ask, what happened to the column shifter tower that originally came on it - it's missing....:-)
