I just picked up my truck with new ARB lockers few days ago. I would like to replace the 3 ARB switches with OEM lockers and flusher switches so I won't bumped it accidential. My left knee is only a inch away from those switches.

Got any photo that show a flushed switches or dual OEM switch from 80 series on the 100 series dashboard?

Regards,

I popped it in just for you, Snook! I'll call Sean today and make my appt. Here is also the diagram for wiring the OEM diff switch. We need an all OEM switch thread. Here's a few... the bottom one is from Siglo's rig: factory rear locker, ATRAC and Subtank.

Does anybody know if the "Sub Tank" switch or the "RSCA off" switch are momentary or do they click on and off? Would they be suitable for a Compressor "ON" switch?

That last pic is quite familiar :D

the sub tank switch clicks on and off.. Press it, and it stays in and switches to the sub tank.. when pressed again, it pops out and returns to the main tank..

The RSCA switch is a momentary switch.

Thanks for the info on the buttons. I guess the RSCA switch won't be too useful.

Hey Siglo, wanna trade your factory sub tank, armrest cooler and cyclonic airbox for... say our factory third row electric windows, retracting mirrors and heated seats? :D Haha, I guess not.

LOL.. Retracting mirrors would be nice, I have to fold mine manually every now and then to get into narrow roads.. I wanted to install those but the dealer said it's not possible..

I'd love to get rid of my factory sub-tank since it's been in storage for a couple of years now.. But it is classified as hazardous material (because it is used) so shipping and handling is a huge PITA (special cleaning, certificates, etc).. costs more than the tank itself

Jay,
I think that the ARB switches require the holes to be enlarged (meaning you can no longer fit OEM switches in those holes).
Leave Compressor switch alone. Get OEM rotary locker switch. Replace offroad light switch.
Good luck Jay!
Yes, indeed, after looking at CSI program, the cutout (red circle on photo) was done with model X razor knife.

Like you said, Compressor switch is fine where it is, it is just that my knee can't bump that one.

I never like Pella high power offroad light switch because the design of "knob", at first, I am not sure wheather to turn it sideway or pull it while in the dark at the spur moment, too confusing.

Snook, do you still have foglights? If not, couldn't you just wire your aux lights to your foglight switch (using a relay)?

I hope to have this issue (switch location) real soon for the front arb locker and a compressor.

I used just a regular rocker switch I got from Radioshack to turn on the compressor (it has a relay) and that sits (the same place as Snook's compressor switch). I used the rotary locker switch from a 97 80 Series for the locker themselves in the stock position. I have a 99LC so there was a one position rotary locker switch there. There are 3 connector pins on the back side of the switch (2 position one from 80 Series) looking at the switch from the mounted position, the pins from left to right, the first 2 pins are for the rear locker, the pin all the way to the right you can use to activate the relay for the front locker. Its pretty simple, the hardest part for me was getting the rotary dial off the dash :grinpimp:

I'll take a photo and post it tomorrow. :flipoff2:

One option you may want to consider......add a "Arming" switch that cuts power to the compressor switch. I did this in my 60....I have 4 switches, the red covered switch has to be opened & turned on to operate the ARB Compressor
switch. Did this for the same reason to keep from items getting accidentaly turned on.
