Serves you right for using a cruiser to get groceries! :flipoff2: JK.

Your fault, or someone else hit you?

My LJ78's been hit four times now since I've owned it. Twice by mom's minivans at my kids school (they munched their front fenders bad on my rear bumper end). Once by a Subaru that narrowly avoided rear ending my wife (end of my rear bumper wrote off the Subaru; whole side of it was munched from front to back). And more recently, a nice BMW rear ended my trailer hitch (messed up front of BMW pretty bad - hit hard enough it slammed us all in our seats).

So after causing many thousands of dollars in damage, my rear bumper is pushed in 0.5cm on one side, and the plastic piece on the end has some scratches. Haha. And this is the light duty OEM bumper.... Not a big heavy aftermarket bumper even. One of the minivans did crack the rear tail light - I bought a used one to replace it.

Cruisers for the win.

I'm still waiting to get rear ended pulling away from a traffic light.

Always seeing little cars disappear out of view under my back window, must be practically under my back bumper.

Almost as if they think an old cruiser will accelerate like a normal car.

Good old h55f, worst gear spacing on earth..

I think someone must have clipped mine with a 300lb shopping cart doing 10kph while I was inside. The damage Is higher than most bumpers out there. Doesn’t look dented just needs a sand and spray bomb it’s nice not having anything fancy for paint actually.

Your right cruisers are awesome!

My 40 got rear ended by a f250 years ago in a yield to the highway while I was waiting for a hole large enough to slowly jump out into. He hit me hard enough to throw the 40 ten to fifteen feet forewords and knock a lot of rust off. We both jumped out and the first thing he said was wow that was like hitting a brick wall then asked if we were alright. His front end was caved in leaking coolant and he was unable to start the truck to drive it out of traffic, the 40 had the rear channel bumper I built bent by an inch or so. I replaced the bent bumper and we, myself and the cruiser were all fine.

Ever driven an anemic 6.2L 80"s chev with the sm420? The L-1-2-3 four speed manual? Dear god that was a horrendous combo.

Yeah, not with a 6.2 , but I mostly skipped the L and thought of it as a 3 speed.

Even in the 61 where it actually has enough power ( bizarre in a cruiser) the gear spacing is still the s***s. :meh:

The old 4 speeds were so smooth, just sucks they couldn't make the h55 more like them.
