Since the LSLC Roundup Dates fall on the third Thursday of the month, we will be having our monthly meeting this Thursday March 12th.
Pappa's BBQ which is located off of I-35 and Northwest Hwy.

Club Meeting starts at 7:30 PM

All members, non-members, former members and potential members are welcome to attend.

just a FYI, TTR will also be having our meeting tomorrow night at Pappas so there should be quite a crowd.

I'll not be able to make.....I'm in sunny Florida til friday.

If Butch can drive from Bonham, I think I can make the drive across Dallas......anyone else? Besides, those wild truck guys are gonna be there.

Sounds like yawl are having fun...... talked to Butch & Dusty.

was good to see some old friends tonight. hadn't seen some of those guys in quite awhile. feels good to be back at the original location. sure the food ain't great, but it feels like home.
and degan couldn't stop talking about the land cruiser and trucks on the way home. he has already planned our return trip for next month. :)

I agree Justin, Pappa's does feel like home. If anyone saw last months Texas Highways big issue on the best Texas Barbeque restaurants, the Hard 8 was conspicuously absent. I don't think that the Dallas Fort Worth area has any really good barbeque restaurants. The only one I can think of is Clark's Outpost in Tioga northeast of Denton. The original Sonny Bryans on Inwood used to be great, but Sonny's been dead too long and the quality has faded.

By the way, my favorite BarBQ restaurant of all time is Louie Meuller's in Taylor Texas Official Site of Louie Mueller Barbecue  |  An Authentic Texas Tradition Since 1949 All the great ones are within a hundred miles of Austin..... City Market in Luling, Smitty's in Lockhart, and so on.

The Hard 8 has 50x better food than Pappa's. Man the only thing good there is the burgers and potato's.

It is a great meeting location though.
