Wanted to see your guys thoughts on running Pancake Rock/Carveacre trail in the rain?

I had a trip planned to go up there with just the wife and I tomorrow but looks like it's gonna rain.

Anyone been up there lately or when it's raining?

Thanks

Jeff

I hear it's pretty tore up right now. Forget who told me that, maybe @flyingmonkey ?

I have been up there right after a rain, the mud is pretty nasty.

A fun trail in the rain is Rodriquez Canyon, at least it was a few years ago.

Thanks @sdnative.

I went up Rodriguez canyon a couple weeks ago was pretty mellow but great trail. I imagine it would be fun in the rain.

Did you go through any of those rock gardens?

Yea, I heard they smoothed it out quite a bit.

I did go through the rock garden in my 80 a couple of years ago. I wanted to do it at least once before I sold it. Unfortunately no one took pictures (guess it didn't happen then) :bang:

I wish it was still like that. Those photos look fun. There's still a couple sections. One in particular that's pretty Nasty.

I like how it ends in BLM land with a couple shooting sights.

Rodriguez was 'graded' a couple of years ago after fires in the area to allow better access for fire fighting equipment is what an AB ranger told us. Pleasant drive with beautiful scenery is about all it is now.
