Anyone have experience painting powder coated wheels? It seemed like a great deal on powder coating a set steelies that I discussed on an earlier thread, but I feel they need to be a darker closer to OEM grey. Taking them back to the powder coater is not an option: https://forum.ih8mud.com/tire-wheel-tech/738367-powder-coating-painting-steelies.html

Well if you want to see what they look like in dark grey spray them with Plasti-Dip. If you don't like it you can just peel it off. The stuff looks great and is durable yet easily removable.

Never heard of it before but looks like a great idea!

I've painted lots of powder coated items. I'd use a de-greaser, like simple green etc. and a scotchbrite pad to thouroughly clean the wheels, wipe down with alcohol and rattle can away. My .02

Decided to just paint them.Preped and then primed. They look great today.
