Hey Folks,

Thanks for all the recommendations thus far. It's a great site.

So, why am I going to spend close to 400.00 on replacement grill & hood trim when I can hit them both with some fine grit sandpaper and spray them with a coupla coats of UV protectant spray paint?

Any ideas? Because they're plastic, I don't need to prime do I?

Any certain paint recommended? I'd prefer a flat but what about a semi gloss?

Thanks again...

It depends on who you talk to as to whether you need/should use primer on the grill bezel. When I painted mine, I sanded the bezel with some 400 (I believe) grit to rough up the surface. I sprayed 2 coats of Rustoleum professional primer, then 3 coats of Krylon Fusion gloss white. Even though the paint I used was gloss, when dry it was more of a matte finish.

At some point I'm going to repaint with Duplicolor.
