Paint Shop Recommendations

Hello, first post on this site.

I have an '70 FJ40 that a purchased a few years ago. Overall its in great shape, but the paint job the last owner put on it is "sub optimal". I'm looking for a paint shop in the Winston/Greensboro area (possibly down to Charlotte) that folks have had good luck with. There is a little rust to deal with, but the body is in pretty good shape overall. Mostly paint. Your help is appreciated!

IMO CarsMetrics in Charlotte is the best around. The guy running the place is first rate. The only problem is that it's a franchise body shop and they're focused on insurance work. If you can get into the schedule, they'll do a really good job for you.

A few years ago when I was rebuilding Cruisers I tried numerous places that it turns out used to do painting of vehicles started only doing insurance jobs.

Now I paint my self. They don't turn out show stoppers but they are way better than Maeco. But I also use 600 paint guns and prep prep prep.

Stan might be able to help you. Not sure how busy his plate is.
