Paint Shop / Painter near Raleigh?

I'm looking for a decent painter that can shoot my T100 and not break the bank. I stopped at Peach Auto Body off Capital in Raleigh - they advertised a special for their better paint service (with clear coat but not a basecoat-clearcoat system) for $425 w/ $100 off that - not sure if they're still running this but it got me interested a month ago. But when I went there and he saw that my hood and roof were badly oxidized he came up with a price of $725 because he'd have to bring the hood and roof down to bare metal or else he could not warranty the work because the oxidation would "happen again". Not sure if that's true or not and I may just say the heck with it and have him or Maaco do it (without taking it down to bare metal) because it looks terrible right now. I'd love to shoot it myself using a water borne system like PPG Envirobase but my cruiser is taking up the whole garage so it would be a lot of moving junk around right now to get it in there - and even then it takes up the whole length of the garage.

Anyone know a decent painter who I could call and see how much it would cost to fix a few dings and shoot with a decent paint? I'd like to keep the truck for a few years (at least another 60k when it will have 250k on the clock) and it definitely needs some help in the paint dept.

Even a guy that does this from his house with decent results would be fine by me - as long as I can't scratch the paint off with my finger nail afterwards I'd be happy..

For all of my painting I go to Martin Brothers in Ashboro. Brooks and Kyle are amazing and very reasonable. I've had them work on my mustang and was very impressed. Brooks does the paint and Kyle does the body work. I took my car there from Winston. I promise you it is worth the driver. They even paid half my deductible. Anything I need to have done will go to them.

Ken won't claim to be a professional, but you might be interested in looking at stuff he has done in his house. He is a fellow wheeler, depends alot on what you want it to look like afterwards.

i have a friend that does great work. he recently finished helping another friend complete a restoration of an old vintagae BMW, as well as completely stripping and repainting his own project BMW.
