Over landing texas- near dallas

hey everyone. I live in the Dallas/DFW area. Looking to do some over landing.
Light off roading and camping.

Maybe like a weekend trip

Anyone know of a route or location to go near DFW? Rather not drive super far but I'll consider all options.

Google search for K-Trail in Clayton, OK. That's the best area I know of that's relatively close by. Easily doable in a weekend from DFW.
