OT : : Golf

The most I've ever "golfed" is the VERY rare trip to the driving range, or minigolf.

However, my college buds are desperate to get me golfing this summer, so it's inevitable that I take it up at some point. (like I need another money and time sucking hobby)

I assume we've got some golfers in the club. Any tips or advice for a complete newb?

Anyone got a set of old clubs they want to unload cheap?

Public courses you can wear whatever, but on private clubs at least a polo shirt.

Anyway, golf is a competition against yourself. I find it very not-relaxing and I suck at it. But I'll play it to my heart's content until I get it right. I find it fFreaking addictive.
