so the PO of my truck drank a bottle of scotch, then decided to rewire the rear lighting, its all wire nuts and elec tape, id love to get the original trailer plug and switch..seems no-one's got em..so how do I go about wiring in a 2 wire "trailer light" its old school round, has a red and brown wire, for each light..aside from the solid green to tail lights leaving GY and GO, when I wire these up to stop/brake..it eats fuses..any suggestions?

I would post in the 40 section. If I recall the GO GY are turn signals and green is lights. So if I understand yiur question I would use GO GY to the turn signals and green to the tail lights.....someone else will know for sure. It will also depend on the year of 40 you have.
