On my journey to get ready for the round up, I started out with 2 things to do. Replace the seal between my NP203 and 700R4 and replace my broken longfield. Yea, only those 2 things.
As I started the tear down and replacement of the seal last weekend. I got it in with some new oil and the interior back together.
This weekend I noticed the front of the traction bar was bent up. I had to cut the old mount off and build a new one from a shackle. I also needed to build another rear drive shaft from some others I have. None of the bolt patterns fit. So I pulled mine off which was very easy because the axle side bolts were loose. I cut and sleeved a piece of pipe and all was good. I then noticed one grease fitting was gone and the other broken off. Put new ones in and pumped some grease in them. Put the new shaft on with blue lock tight on the threads and yes tightened the front drive shaft bolts too.
Shawn came over and we had some fun with his 40, but I'll let him post up on that.
So far I have completed 1 of 2 things for the round up. Stay tuned for the next episode, Goodbye old friend.
