On Snorkels......

OEM vs. Safari type snorkels. Any reason to go with one over the other?

If pricing and function were comparable I would probably go OEM just because most folks run the other....and I saw a lifted Range Rover in town the other day running a Safari type snorkel.

I ran the Safari Snorkel on my fj62. it was nice and made to contour and fit the body nicely. I like the intake better then the OEM one as well

i have heard that the on on the 80 series is not water tight like the arb might be the same for the 60 series may want to look into that

I was looking through the archives and that question came up. According to some the 60 version didn't have that problem....though it doesn't matter because according to Japan4X4 importers the 60 snorkel parts are no longer available.
