OME vs RoughCountry

I am going to buy a lift kit for my FJ. I am putting an ARB bumper and a winch on it. Which one do you think is the best option? It serves double duty. Light wheeling(hunting and fishing), But is my daily driver also. How much bumper sag with each. All that kind of stuff. OME Vs. Rough Country. Thanks for the input.

If your just getting the 3 inch, then no for longer brakelines. Go rough country, ome is overated.

Go OME if you plan on wheeling, get the Rough Country if you just want a spacer lift.

Old Man Emu (OME) lift is a complete suspension system. OME can be custom taylored to your driving need (i.e. lighter or heavier springs). OME also costs more because you get more. Rough Country (RC) is a good lift, just a diffrent application. RC is more for looks and keeping the price down. Still a nice lift. I believe the sag issue with the RC spacer lift will not be a issue untill many years down the road when your springs start to become tired. Either way I'm sure you will be happy. A friend of mine installed the RC lift with the reasoning that if it sags later on with the RC spacer lift and stock springs he will just replace the factory springs with the OME medium weight springs. He pointed out that it would cost him no extra amount of money.

Get the OME heavy with 886 front springs, that's what i ended up with. the 885 were not heavy enough for the ARB bumper and wench with skid plates. Don't know anything about rough country, but very pleased with OME.

Winch and bumper will require the 886 coils up front and the medium duty 895 coils back aft if you go with OME.

OME is top notch.

Here is my rig with stock size tires, only replaced with mud tires, and the OME lift described above.

As stated earlier, go OME if you are going to do any serious offroading. I'm just as happy as I can be with mine.
