That tank equals about 4 piss bottles worth of travel time ;)

I’m so old I’ll run out of piss bottles.

seriously this is more about the trail. I usually have to go seek fuel after a couple days

Quite possibly the worst directions ever come from LRA

But it’s a fine product. Tucks nicely under the 60. Not even sure how many gallons it holds.

Edit. 40 gallons.

Duh, it holds 151,416 ml of fuel, broh. Aka, a metric sh!t ton :grinpimp:

My pig tank is 52 gallons so this thing feels like a twerp.

Man. I really made myself a lot of extra work getting a 60 tank then dropping the pickup in the wrong spot but I’ve got it now.

Wiring it up and fuel soon.

All buttoned up and running. No show on the gauge with 10 gallons in. Not sure if my 45* bend will work but I’m headed to the gas station for a fill to see if it will float up some.

Pretty stoked.

I had trouble welding the extension to the float. Ended up crimping some sort of ferral around the rods to make like a splint. It reads full for 100 miles before it moves and I still have a 100 mile reserve after it bottoms out. I still try to fill up at the 1/2 tank mark.

Gauge was at zero after I filled. Was bummed.

Pump stopped at $80. I added 4 more gallons plus the two full real 5 gallon race cans so it’s closer to 42 gallons.

Came home and monkeyed with it and BOOM, I got it to work. Full is full.

Stoked. Very stoked.

Glad I have the airbags though. I let all the air out and the ass sunk 1”.

I’m pretty much addicted to anything @lcwizard builds but I’m particularly in love with his Ubolt flip kits.

This set he sent me was with a twist. I asked him to make me some that work with the Boss Airbags.

It’s a bit of a job but you bolt a new bottom plate to the Boss bag and then measure out the length ubolt you need then cut them off being careful to protect your threads so you can get a nut back on them.

As always everything he sent me is great and well thought out. Cheers to 4 Plus Products

Wrapped the rear flip kit air bag project in the rear up.

I moved the 285/75-16 on smooth Vintique that were on my 80 to the 60. Had I not had airbags the 4” BS wheels wouid have fit with no rub but they hit the airbags so it has 1” spacers now

Stance is right now in my opinion with the taller lift

Came home and monkeyed with it and BOOM...

I don't know. Talking about fuel tank projects and saying "BOOM" and I was fearing the worst for a moment there...

It would be ideal for both sides of that bolt-through bag mount to be riding on the shoulder of the bolt, instead of one side riding on the threads. The holes are sized for the shoulders more than likely, as the shoulder is slightly larger in OD than the threads. Furthermore, the threads will flatten out over time, adding more slop. Not sure if you'll be able to hear or notice the slop, but if you get a bolt with a shoulder long enough to go through each side, and cut the threads down to the appropriate length, it would be better in the long term. Eventually the slop will cause the holes in the brackets to woller out.

Very slick solution though. lcwizard has always made the best products IMO.

Agreed, you want stuff like that to be a good snug fit

I’m actually not following you here. I added the second plate with some longer bolts. No leaking. What are you saying I also need to do?
The plate that mates your 4Plus plate to your Boss airbag… they are connected via a long bolt. On one end the plates are connected to that bolt in a threaded area. That should also be shouldered/unthreaded.

^ that. My post would have made more sense @wngrog if the picture showed up instead of a link.

The section of the bolt that goes through the bracket should be shouldered. Having threads in that connection will make it sloppy and make it wear out over time. It's usually difficult to find shouldered bolts that long in an appropriate length, so buy a super long one to get enough shoulder, then cut the excess threads off.
