Guys,
Quick plug for Eric Oldenburg, Oldenburg Automotive in Trenton. I was in near-desperate need of an experienced Landcruiser mechanic and was referred to Eric from his brother Todd, a fellow member of Gotham City Landcruisers. While I love working on my trucks I just have not had the time and a number of more critical repairs crept up on me all at once. Had Eric replace crank bolt seals and oil pump cover seals on my wife's 97 40th anniversary, same seals on mine + rebuilt the knuckles.

Here's the thing. I fit right into the OCD, anal retentive profile that so often fits Landcruiser owners, especially here own Mud. I study torque specs in the FSM for crying out loud. I really wanted to rebuild my knuckles since I've done nearly everything else on my truck. But, the next best thing given my recent personal workload was to find someone who can do the work and not get ticked off when I ask things to get done a certain way.

Need a great mechanic who won't rip you off? Check out http://oldenburgsautomotive.com. His screen name here is Satanic Mechanic. Good dude.

make this a sticky or a list of great cruiser specialist in NJ

I second that - got my 80 up and running and flew thru NJ inspection. No more P0401.
Next up is my 70 - a slave cylinder turned into a need for a bell housing and might as well do a clutch!
And he drives a pretty cool 55 !
