Hey snowcruiser. That looks Great!!. A job well done. Looks nice and clean. Good Job again.

I have to vote for HANNA......superb craftsmanship and hella-stout. The ability to travel 150+ more miles w/ the 3 jerry cans is just right for my exploring.

One more home made job; nothing fancy but functional and durable. The pics were lost since the server change so I thought I upload the pics again.

Features: built in hitch receiver, reverse lights, 7-pin trailer plug with chain loops, quarter panel protection that fits the mud flaps perfectly. Still room for the OEM sub tank. Bumper is installed using all factory captured nuts and oem bolts; 21 total. Tire swing out is held open by a gas strut.

Material: 3/16" mild steel that was bent/beaten/heated/cut/welded. 1/4" mild steel bent to go around the chassis and act as the main support for the bumper. Rear quarter panel protection is made out of 3/16" mild steel. Tire swing out is made out of 1/8" box tubing and spindle is a 1 ton trailer spindle. 1/8" diamond plate on top of the bumper for a finished look.

I'm really liking the look of the new ARB rear bumper..it is very pricey and I know it has very bad departure angle but I still think I would get it if money was not a factor. Any one have any experience with it?

I know you said you weren't a fabricator so you couldn't build your own, but I'm no fabricator either. I definitely had some help getting the peices bent up and the design mocked up by a fellow club member, but don't think you can't do it yourself. A little effort and goes a long way.

this is the homebuilt one that I have. I love it.

However, if you are set on buying one from one of the aftermarket vendors, I have seen the Slee in person and I'm very impressed. I haven't actually seen a Hanna bumper in person but the people I've talked to that have them love them. Same goes for the 4x4 labs ones. Those would be my three choices and I honestly think you can't go wrong with any of them. Just pick which ones you like the looks of the best and whichever one fits your budget the best and go for it. Personally I think I would pick the 4x4 labs one.

Hmmm which one.. I'm liking the Hanna..

If your on the west coast and worry about shipping, the Hanna or Labs is the way to go, each is very nicely built, well designed piece. Labs has my vote for hardcore wheelers due to the cut frame. Hanna's seems like a better built heavy expidition rack for heavy loads,
Buy what YOU like not what people tell you, they all work and will make you happy.
FWIW, I built my own

Don't forget, Luke4x4 can sell you his bumper in pieces (a la carte), in kit form and then you can finish it on your own. This reduces the price considerably and allows you some ownership of building it yourself.

I'm thinking of ordering his side pieces for the wife's 80 as she doesn't need the mondo center piece.

Anyway, FYI.

Here's my newly aquired bumper! Of course its dirty now

Sweet. I wonder if there is enough room for the JDM OEM ladder behind the spare and jerry can holder?

I went there and looked in the catalog under 80's and protection what am I missing? I see sliders & shackles but no bumper.

OH yeah, I agree with you on 4By Labs right now they have my imaginary $$$$. Now to get Luke the real dollar bills.

Ken's jerry can shelf is just begging for a nice seat for highway scenery or fishing, isn't it...? :)

look under the 4+ banner, and look for rockcrawling bumper, my understanding is that Taz got the shaft on that whole deal, PM him and he shall tell

I have to say that the very concept of one's leaving the truck with somebody for 12 weeks to do the installation boggles the mind....
