Does anyone have a right angle drill that I can use this weekend? I had my oil galley plug go out on the way to work..

What a mess.

Thanks

Well lets say there is a trail of oil between here and Bud Davis....and the metric s*** ton in my garage.

Once I got it home and cleaned the block a bit I can see the plug is gone.

Wow, so it comes out pretty noticeably? That is good to know.

Big thanks to Jordan for the help.....hell for tapping that head. (run with it)

Cam great to hang out and have some fun life seems to be too busy.

Heckle great to see you and hate to see you gone for a few months.

I wish I had more space and time to wrench more.

Thanks

Well we didn't have to drill out the old plug since it was on my garage floor.

Jordan used a commercial grade 5/16 24 cutting tap and tapped the head where the galley plug decided to remove itself.

We could not find a 5/16 24 set screw so Jordan cut the head off the cap screw and made a set screw.
Red thread locker and it was done.

Sorry no pictures because not really to take since it is hard enough to see it much less take a picture.

Threads to reference.

We spent more time going to and from the hardware stores and finding what we needed than it took to do it.

Pictures are almost impossible as JBo mentioned. Hard enough to see what was going on.

Props to Cameron for the idea on cutting the head off an Allen head socket cap screw and slotting it. Genius!!!

Fingers crossed this holds forever, JBo
