Offroad near Sunset Beach??

My wife and I are going to Sunset Beach this evening for the weekend. Trying to decide which vehicle to take. The wife's IS or the 80. I am almost sure you cannot drive on Sunset beach. I was wondering if there were any places near Sunset to wheel? We will need to stay close to Sunset because of the wedding we are attending, but we will have some time to explore.

The closest place you are going to be able to run on the beach is going to be around fort fisher, caolina beach.
