I am just about done with my engine build:

'78 Block bored 20 over
Delta Re-ground cam
3 angle valve Job/gasket matched head
All new bearings
Crank turned 20/10

I was running my Offenhauser C-series intake with a Weber, and liked it. But the weber was too small for the 2F. I sent my stock carb to Mark A. to get desmoged.

My question is has anyone ran a stock carb on an Offenhauser??

thanks
Ryan

The only Offy manifold I have seen for a cruiser was for a 4bbl?

I'm curious how the Offy is configured to be an improvement over the stock intake, could actually have a smaller plenum area????

The hot setup would be the early 2bbl Toyota manifold......JMO;)

Thanks Guys!! I will have to go take some pics of the manifold next to a stock one. My Offy has a clifford adapter for the 2 barrel.

Probably a Clifford 4V intake with a 2V adapter, in which case should have plenty of plenum chamber area!!

The Offenhauser manifold has "Offenhauser" cast right into it, so I bet it is an Offenhauser....;)

the manifold that Degnol shows is the way to go fir a stock carb. Hands down.
with an Offy C series, a 500 CFM Edelbrock works well with the engine setup that you have.

Personally I would have cut the head or swapped heads to up the compression a bit.

The Offy Dualport works better with the 500cfm carb for most peoples uses.... bteeter low end response the the C Series at a sacrifice of a bot of mid range and top end power.

But if you are using a reworked stock carb, and that large runner manifold... you will be very very happy with the power and throttle response.

Mark...
