I don't see anything in that image that screams "locker" to me....

I DO see 41400 which will be the vacuum operated front axle disconnect...much like what my old 1995 IFS minitruck used...used on the part time 4wd models...

As far as I know all 4th Gen 4R, FJC, Tacos, Prados come with a 4 pinion front carrier. The diagram clearly shows a 2 pinion one. SO I would say he might have mixed up the diagrams with another, probably older vehicle front diff.

actuator, hub, sleeve...exactly what I'd expect when one front axle is disconneted....

and identical to my old 95 mini

drivers side doesn't disconnect from the diff....

again, exactly like my 95 mini...lol ;)

YEp, seems like the correct diagram, my mistake. I looked at my FSM for the 4R and the front only seems to have a 2 pinion front diff. Strange nobody has killed it yet with a V8, I definitely see a locker in my future.

Oh and that has to be the auto front diff as the manual is full time all the time 4WD. So it will not have a disconnect in the front diff, like the 100/4R/GX.

You guys are right.
