A handful of us went to Frisco Campground last November. The weather was perfect and the campground was relatively empty. Doing it again this year.
Loop D is in a little hole, well protected by trees and dunes. If you think you want to go, grab your spot now before someone else does. Recreation.gov allows you to cancel reservations up until the last minute for a $10 fee

- You'll need a Cape Hatteras ORV Permit if you plan to drive on the beach
- Propane fire pits are allowed; no wood burning
- No planned meals; so bring your own food
