LX570 For Sale

I'm new to the forum and I'm in the market for a series 200 and this one came up for less than $20k so I was intrigued. I know it is high mileage, but it still seems like a good deal for what appears to be a clean California vehicle. I ran the VIN on the lexus owners website and found that there are several service entries that describe "Clean inside of A/C system" or some equivalent. That brings me to the one real concern I have about this vehicle; as I have not seen it in person, I don't really know the condition of the interior and I'm afraid that the service history would indicate that there is an odor inside.

Can anyone confirm if cleaning the A/C is a part of regular service, or if it indicates what I suspect which is that the owner was attempting to mask some odor either from mildew or from smoking or something? I live about 5 hours from the dealership, so stopping by to check is not really an option and I'm a little skeptical of the objectivity of the sales staff.

Sometimes the evaporator has to be cleaned to reduce growth/build up via the drain hose. I've had it done on my 15 with 50K once, I live in GA so the AC runs all the time and I keep it on recirculate.

Looks like a lexus maintained vehicle from the beginning, in California, without accidents. Assuming no rust on the underside (california probably not), most likely GTG based on information provided.

There are a few items like radiator cracks and timing belt (2nd time most likely) and heater T's replacement that may come up with 217K on it, but the price is pretty low.

Welp, it sold to someone else, so none of it matters now anyway. Time for me to continue the search. Thanks for the input though!

I swooped in and bought this on Sunday, sorry.

I read through the service history, apparently there was a mouse that got into the duct some how. It stated that they removed it and sprayed disinfectant. There are no weird smells in this LX570.

The previous owner also went through brakes like crazy

It does have a few small problems:
There is a small rip in the drivers seat on the seam, should be easy to sew back up.
The vented seats don't seem to work
The side view mirrors were both a little loose (fixed already)
Needs to have the passenger seat belt pretensioner fixed, whenever Lexus comes up with a fix.
Front camera cover is cracked

As you may imagine, I would have bought it if you hadn't. I'm happy for you, I think you got a good deal. What was your out the door price, if you dont mind me asking?

That is normal. They do absolutely nothing on my 2013. That feature should be called "seat noise". Feature was improved (actually functional) on 2016+ models.

Good to know, I don't think they even made a noise.

The little fan puts out as much air as a dollar store handheld fan through the perforated leather. No loss there!
