89,

check out" to lexus or not to lexus" thread, I believe I posted up a picture of that 62 down in charleston. I also put some basic info about it as well. Are you thinking about looking at it?

Nah, I am not. I dont have the cash now to do anything.

In comaprison. I was looking at a fj60 with everything rebuilt. Dual ARB lockers, and OME with very little body damage and no rust. Almost 300K miles on the body, Guy wanted $3500 I was gunna sell mine and get it then I started figuring up on it etc. And since $ is tight and that cruiser had 4.88 gears I decided to hold off. Was a sweat deal though!

N ow I am just looking at how to get cash to buy shocks and other various items for my alcan lift.

Where was I? Where was that truck? Man, that does sound like a good deal other than the mileage. Where did you get your alcan from? I'll be in the market for a lift soon, so I'm doing all my research now. Could you tell me what are the positives of having an Alcan lift? Are there any negatives?

Man buy the thing don't worry about the mileage, mine has 336,000 miles on the body. Runs great I'm gonna keep it and hope to one day have 500,000 on it, then I'm gonna send it to RIPLEY'S Haha. Good luck

I wasnt worried abou tthe milage everything was rebuilt. It was on Pirate4x4 not close to us, I was gunna fly there and drive it back. The gears turnded me off. It had 33's and top speed was like 50 or 55. Not for me. I do 60 or 65 70% of my driving. Turck wasnt bad. DO a search on the 60 series forum that I posted whats it worth. Pics are posted there.

My lift isnt on yet, Just got the springs and shackles in today, bought them used from a guy in Houston. Got it all for about 1/2 price of new. I bought it b/c its a 4" lift and I wanna eventually run 35's. It was a decent deal and you can get individual parts that you want. I am lookign for shocks now, but it will prob be a month or more b/f I can buy some. Total cost including 33" tires and new to me rims should be about $1200 This is everthing including brake lines extensions for my sway bar, springs, bushings, shackles, etc. If you need some advice I can help you with what I know just PM me.

I know a little but not alot. I am still learing on these. Spent almost all of HS and college working on mustangs so making the conversion to this has been cool :)

Got a new mod on my 62 tonight also. I bought a firestik II CB antenna last week on ebay with a bracket. I got it put on today it looks rather good I think. I hope to get it tuned soon as a guy that comes to my work has a tuner.
