your 1981 FJ43L-KC came with a Split-Transfer-case 8/80-Later

the Transfer-case shift lever stick threads are 1 size up Larger in Diameter ,


so that makes My knobs above too small female threads ,


but its not all bad news , you can still grab one for your ever growing NOS parts collection i hear so much about
