The National Park Service (NPS) is developing an Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement and regulation for Cape Lookout National Seashore (CALO). The NPS recognizes that ORVs, if allowed, must be regulated in a manner that is not only consistent with applicable law, but also appropriately addresses resource protection (including protected, threatened and endangered species), public safety and potential conflicts among the various CALO users.
