Hey yall. I recently brought home this beautiful rust free Florida 2006 LX. It was a family truck passed down years ago to their college daughter who fully believed that bumpers were meant for bumping other than that this truck is in great shape! My wife and I were in the market to replace her daily driver (08 Prius, fantastic car; don't knock it till you know it) and she wanted to be higher and safer. Great to have a women on your side that trusts you and your knowledge to buy an 18 y/o truck rather than something newer with a loan.
The truck will be here DD and our road trip/ mild and novice overland build. We are very excited for the adventures ahead of us. I DD a 2000 tundra (2WD) which is how I learned to respect the 2UZ-FE as I do. We live at the top of Tampa Bay and have family located all up and down the east coast and out as far west as New Mexico. We plan to log some miles! The truck has 260,000 miles with the original timing belt, so it is sitting in the garage until it is replaced. This site is such a wealth of knowledge and really appreciate having such a solid source so close, so thank you for building this community.
Hopefully this question isnt beat to death other places on the site, i did a quick search which did not return anything but i am still learning the lay of the land... are the 2UZ-FE VVTI engines interference engines?
