I saw on the Trail Crew site that there will be a Rowher Flats Adopt-A-Trail event. I would like to attend this event, and maybe bring another non-member along to assist in the cleanup.

Question: Can I join up as a non-member? Probably a silly question, but this is the kind of event I have been waiting for, for quite some time.

Thanks,

Sean

perhaps he meant that he would meet you there... anyways yes, you are welcome to join us at the event. see you there...

What vehicle will you be bringing? I sort of remember you selling you Fj40?

What vehicle will you be bringing? I sort of remember you selling you Fj40?

Here is the history:

Sold the FJ40 to purchase an 80-series. With that, I bought a 1991 FJ80. '91 was hit by a kid running a red light, then declared a total loss by the insurance company; insurance company paid out more than I paid for the '91, so I bought the 1993 FZJ80 that I am driving now.

Specs:

1993 FZJ80

- 315/75R16
- 2.5" OME Mediums + .50" spacers up front (swapped from '91)
- Custom-fabbed sliders (traded lift swap and sliders for the '91)
- Roof rack (also removed from '91)
- Open diffs: I installed an Aussie in the rear - no more getting stuck in ditches (as was the case with the '91).

I will be fabricating some Metal Tech-style spacers to level it out and increase the lift for clearance, but it does fairly well as-is.

Sounds like a good start. FZJ80's are way better than their earlier counterparts made in 91 and 92. See you sunday.

I am hoping to be almost completely moved in to my new house by then, but it looks like a go.

Is this run going to happen rain or shine?

Oh yeah? Tell that to the folks in La Cañada... :D

CYa there.

It's a go for me. I will not be bringing anyone with me, save maybe my 16 year-old.

Not looking forward to the mud, since I have not yet shed what I gathered from my last run; oh well.

What channel CB will y'all be on ? ... (CB, not 2-meter, right?)

Thanks for having me today.

A Good Day
