Where did you find that price? America's Tire lists them at $303 ea + mount & balance.

I think anything under $300/tire for a good 35" MT is a deal, especially since your getting trail graps.

Paul, my cousin's friend has a tire shop. He gave me a quote yesterday, I'm going to see how much rims will cost, he know of a ware house for rims as well. Any suggestions on rims as far as material, brand, style, and how much? it will be used for overland travels, off-road and some crawling.

The factory ones have always worked well for me. They look nice too.

Agreed on the factory rims. One could always upgrade to some 17" beadlocks! :hhmm:

I got mine for around $290 each, and thought that was a good deal. Four for 1K is a screaming deal, IMO.

I looked into beadlocks, damn they are nice, but around 400 bucks a piece?? yikes!!!
What's the advantage of having those rims over factory? I bought the car with some s*** rims and they didn't have the factory rims :/

Can you tell me the purpose of upgrading to 17" rims? is it because you will be able to run bigger tires?
Haha, i'm a noob.

Besides from looking totally bad***, they lock the bead of the tire by sandwhiching them between two metal rings so you can lower your tire pressure as much as you want for maximum traction without worrying about blowing a bead.

Depending of your plans for your cruiser and wheeling style, I have found that there are more selections of tires in bigger sizes (bigger than 35s) for a 15" or 17" rim than a 16" rim. Of course you can't run 15" rims on a FZJ80 without shaving off the rear calipers but you can on a FJ80.

If you do mild wheeling, 35's is totally fine and I wouldn't bother upsizing in rims.
