hello all, I'm Dave, I have a 96 Nissan HB with a few mods. found this site looking up trailers and thought it had some really good info. I do hate mud, but being from the NW is hard to stay away from it.
so I decided to make my dream truck and I'm about 1/2 way done. I'm installing a V8, king cab, and dual tanks on my regular cab frame.
working on the bed...
picked up the cab...
test fit the engine...
stripped the frame...
situating the cab and cut out part of the floor for the fuel tank...
enclosed the fuel tank and sound deadened the interior...
engine, trans, and transfer mounted...
started to fit the bed, it still needs to loose 14" in the front...

So I tacked up the muffler as well. I need to wait for the rest behind the muffler until the bed is done so I know where to set the pipe too. I also got the bed shortened to the correct length.
slowly coming back together...
so I added some color to the truck today. tomorrow the blue stripe and red dashes... and clear coat. I thought I was doing good by taping off the jambs and painting them... I forgot to do the gas doors. oops. oh well, I think its looking bad a$$
INTRODUCING...
the TRUCK that NISSAN should have BUILT!!!! ok maybe the body....
so, after 3 coats of clear I am very happy with the results. there are some blemishes from the newbie. a run on the left front fender and minor orange peel. 5-7' it looks awesome up close you can see it. I think that might buff out.... I hope. IMO, its an AWESOME looking truck and yes I will pat myself on the back.
hood, cowl, and tailgate will get done later.
