Would you like to touch every club member every month?
Would you like to leave a legacy of your effort?
Would you like to have an audience for your thoughts?

Please consider voluteering for the Newsletter Committee.
You get a newsletter in your mailbox each month and read all of the articles. Now you can help with its production. No experience required.
Darrell is our present editor and would like to have your assistance as he records the news about the club.

Thanks for your help in making this a great club.

Anyone Intrested?

Darryl is still planning on writing articles every month or every other month..

We need soneone who can Take his articles, and any other articles submitting by members, as well as the Presidents report, Format the document, then PDF it out in an e-mail to members.

If We can not find somone to take over his position, we may need to use an alternative way to get accross this info.. Possibly here on the forum.. If anyone has ideas let us know.. I do enjoy the printed pdf newsletter, but we can go the way other clubs have, and just use the forum for our news..

I would like to maintain the newsletter format since it is very easy to archive into a file. Threads are not as easy to collect and archive. Many of our new members have gone through our old newsletters and decided to join based on their content. I would estimate that this endevour would take you a couple of hours every month. Once you do it a couple of times you will be addicted.

I have found that as I added more columns to the newsletter I found more ideas about what to write about. It will give you a forum to be heard and help out the club at the same time.

Thanks for your help

David M.

Let me chime in on this issue. While I'll be in western Colorado for a while, I'm not opposed to continuing to be the editor of Cruisin' Colorado. Where it would be nice would be to have trip reports submitted, or maybe have members write columns on topics which they have done to their rig. Or things they are interested in which pertain to our 4WD Toyota rigs. A good news letter is an archive of club history and with members submitting articles, it has a flair and flavor of just what the club is all about.

So sharpen your thoughts, think about what you can do to create a story or article about something you are interested in. Maybe your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/sig other/dog has a view point which can be shared. Yup, your dag has a view point and it might just be significant.

We all have something to bring to the table, or to this journal. So think about it - and no it isn't an English Lit adventure, unless you want it to be.

You just never know what you are capable of unless you try.
