Newbie Questions

I haven't gotten it yet but I'm considering buying a 1972 FJ40. I recently moved to Asheville and I was wondering if there were any places near here or Charlotte even that carries body parts or even a good 4 wheel drive store. The one I'm looking at (pictures posted in a thread in the 40 tech forum) is rough and will need ample work. So if anyone has any good places for me to check out I would really appreciate the info. Thanks in advance.

Close to you is JTO but STAY AWAY from them. They are not any good. Bob out at TPI is pretty good , he is in TN. Ya got Iron Pig up in VA and down south in GA is Urban Cruisers.

Everything is the problem with them, i wouldn't advise it but place a few orders with them and you will soon see.

Jon, JTO will sell you a part that you'll never receive. If they say you are getting OEM parts, hogwash. Also, if they say it can be delivered in 3-4 days, that really means 3-4 weeks. If they say it's in stock, it aint. Get the picture.

I've ordered from them a few times, only had one problem with something missing from the order... was sent the next day. Guess I'm just lucky.

Consider yourself lucky, after three sets of bushings (none of which being correct) and 2 months worth of shipping, I gave up.

You get lucky maybe once and then wammy, they start messing up all the time for ya, oh and try to get decent CS from them, ya right.

I will not ever give them another penny.
