Hi Everyone,

Just getting into 4x4'ing and just wondering where I can find easy trails in the lower mainland. Also if there is regular newb friendly runs organized. Thanks

Joseph

Welcome to MUD :)

Easy Trails in Winter:

West Harrison FSR to Hale Creek. Short run from FSR (Forest Service Road) down to Harrison Lake, big shelter down there.
East Harrison to Clear Creek Hotsprings
Chilliwack River Valley: Vedder Mountain, Chilliwack Bench Road, Foley Lake

Easy Trails in Summer:
- Mt. Thursten Loop off Chilliwack Bench Road
- Mt. Cheam to hiking parking lot (2hr hike to top after that, very popular spot)
- Kenyon Lake

First Saturday every month is the 4WDABC (4-Wheel Drive Association of BC) monthly maintenance run to Hale Creek and Sunrise Lake.

Last Sunday of the month is the 4WDABC maintenance run to Kenyon Lake (east side of Stave Lake)

Newb's welcome on these runs.

More info on these regular runs at www.4WDABC.ca

All trails are within 1-hour or so of the greater Vancouver area
