Been running wires, crimping, soldering for days on end now, but it's finally getting somewhere.
I chose to use relays for everything, everything is wired up now except the windshield wipers and the heating fan.
This might seems a stupid question form someone who has nearly finished the wiring on his truck using nothing but relays, but why exactly use relays? (reason why I used them is when i did a search here and on pirate everyone kept telling that relays are the way to go, but i never found and excact answer to why use relays)
Some pics:
Splicing the 70 series column switch into the harness, the loose end wires you see are not needed, so i backed them up and put a shrink wrap over the end. Didn't want to cut them of, I'll maybe need them later.
Column switch wiring finished, used the non sticky "vulcanising" type tape to wrap it up, this stuff works really good, only problem is when you make a mistake and have to remove the tape, it's a bitch to get of!
Wiring nearly finished, only heater and windshield wiper remains, so another 4 relays and it'll be finished
