SOLD !New & unused 3-row OEM FJZ80 radiator
SOLD...
FOR SALE: I have a new and unused OEM (TRAD) three-row [brass core] radiator for an FJZ80 Land Cruiser.
Part number 16400-66040
$300.00 plus shipping - PayPal, please
FULL DISCLOSURE: I purchased this radiator from Cruiser Dan in mid-June. It arrived in perfect condition. However, when wrestling it into my '96 'Cruiser, I managed to ding up some of the fins.
With a really tight schedule (I needed the truck "right now"), I elected to buy another radiator from C-Dan, putting the damaged one in my garage for future disposition.
Well, today, I got around to doing something about it! I took the radiator to Kirby's Radiator Service, 2832 E. Belknap Street, Fort Worth, Texas (817-838-6722). The radiator was examined by the owner of the shop and he had one of his technicians do a full pressure test.
Verdict: the radiator has no leaks. All the damage is "cosmetic," limited only to what you can see in the photos... fins deformed between the core "tubes." Kirby's pronounced the radiator as perfectly good.
The owner suggested that I might use small needle-nose pliars to straighten the fins, but I would rather not make any "repairs" to the radiator... that way, the next owner will see that I did not try to "cover up" any damage.
So, that's the story... functionally, a "new" radiator (never had coolant in it, except for whatever might have gotten inside over at Kirby's)... cosmetically, a little bent between core tubes in one place.
It even has the foam seal intact around the radiator, and of course, a new cap!
So, if you don't mind a little "fin-bendage" you can save a bundle on a new & unused genuiune OEM TRAD radiator.
I have the double boxes that it was shipped to me in... I have no idea what shipping might cost, but it's probably not cheap.
Photos below... If I can answer further questions, either post here or send me a PM!
