Picked up a 62 series today. It needs some work but is in good shape overall. The engine is having issues so I have a small block LT1 to go in it. I'm just trying to figure out if I should use the GM Trans with overdrive or buy the adapter of the stock cruiser Trans. I have this picture of it where it was before I picked it up.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to starting on it. If all goes well I will move to to my shop the end of next week.

It's now at my shop and I'm collecting parts to start on it. I'm going to do a spring over to it first. I would have had the extra cash to get started but my 55 decided it wanted 2 new tires so it let the air out of one through the side wall. I was going to see if it could be fixed but it had cracks all over the side and in the tread. I was surprised that a BFG would split like that.

If you are interested I have the old axles from my SOA.
The front is a trussed and C&T fj62 axle rebuilt with trunnion bearing eliminators and hysteer setup on it already plus ARP knuckle studs.
The rear is a FZJ80 axle with all the coil stuff cutoff and perches for leaf springs. It also has a lockright locker in it.
I also have the rear DC driveshaft that I had made for it, practically brand new maybe 50 miles on it.

What are you asking for the both of them?
