Howdy folks, I'm Vic from the Great Southern area of Western Australia, smack bang in the middle of beef, lamb and grain cropping country...

Am a 35 year diesel truck, earthmoving and marchinery mechanic, and this my choice of work truck, a 2003 HDJ79R, because being an engine man at heart, it has what i believe to be the best engine in it's class ever made, the ubiquitous 1HD-FTE.

Have had "her"a few years now, it just clocked over the 400,000 km mark. Recently i added a 3" exhaust and unichip w/- 5 map select. Plus, just today i drove 900kms return to pick up a spare H151 transmission that i just bought from a VDJ wreck, which i'm currently speccing the ordering of parts for, to convert into a H152 hybrid, without pulling mine off the road for the period that will take to complete.

Looking forward to chatting to you all, cheers for now.

Welcome! Love that old girl! :)

Welcome, fellow Aussie. There's a few of us that boot around here. Nice part of the country ya from, albeit dry at the moment. Looks kind of like a sandy colour, rare if it is.

Yes, it's not the original colour, it used to whilte, although the colour change has been done quite well... I believe they were only sold in four colours, and that's not one of them

Welcome aboard!
