I've posted a few times on here before when we were in the market, but thought an official "we got our LC post" was due. We had a 2011 Sienna SE that was the family hauler for some time, but the wife wanted something different, and something that could take us on an adventure as a family. We have 4 boys, youngest being almost 2 and oldest being almost 9. We knew they would inevitably dirty up and wear in whatever we got, but we accepted this as we really trust the Toyota name and the LCs reputation really stood out.

We looked at the Sequoia but it was too big, we looked at the new LR Disco, but it was too pretty, and we looked at the Nissan Armada, but it wasn't body on frame. In the end, the wife liked the LC for it's simplicity and I for everything else.

Anyway, a few weeks ago our 2016 LC was delivered and we couldn't be happier. I just recently did the last "big" install to my 2017 4Runner, and now it's time to work on the LC.

With that, I have a few questions about some upgrades we are looking to make.

1: The infamous will it rub question. I'm happy w/ the stock rim/tire size, the wife like the Tundra TRD wheels and that's likely the direction we will go, though I will replace the stock tires w/ KO2s. I also want to get spacers to get the wheels more flush. So, anyone running the stock rims, or the tundra TRDs w/ spacers and stock size KO2s? Do they rub?

2: The wife hates the nose dive she gets when braking, very similar to my 2017 T4R when it was stock. For my T4R, I went with a 3 inch OME suspension lift, but my wife isn't interested in that much lift. Any recommendations on a 1-2 inch lift, that will reduce or remove the nose dive?

3: I've searched but couldn't find a "how-to" on how to remove the front chrome grill on the LC, I'm going to paint/dip the chrome pieces and the grill seems easier to do off the car, thoughts?

All in all, we love the new addition to the family and look forward to having this around for a while. There are some trade-offs from the Sienna that we already miss. Most noticeably are the vast amount and sizes of the cup holders compared to the LC. Even my T4R cup holder situation is better than the LC.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the cars!

Thanks and sorry for the long read,

-Chris

Congrats on the new LC. Welcome to the club. Good riddance to the Sienna. What is the interior color on your 200?

are you sure? I thought new armada shares chassis with Y62 Patrol which is BOF
