Well, I'm one of you now. This week I picked up a 2006 Taco dbl cab 4x4 TRD Sport. She's getting the belt and idler pulley replaced today, and then I'll start baslining and putting synthetics in. Not planning on doing anything extreme to it, more of an expedition build. It'll take some getting used to, the truck I sold this past March was an LX450 with 37" tires, factory lockers, full armor, 14" travel RS9000XL shocks, ect.ect. So with only a rear limited slip, IFS, no armor (yet), and bfg long trail tires in stock size it'll be a bit different, but so is the power to weight ratio!

Anyway here she is, I'll have to start combing the archieves for CB mounting places, problem areas and locker options.

Nice truck. The 4.0 V6 is a nice change if you've been slugging along with a 1FZ.

Odd that you chose the Sport model if you are exploring locker options, but then again, the LSD rear end is slightly bigger and stronger than the elocker rear, so maybe if you swap our the LSD for a locker you're better off in the long run.

I got the sport cause that's what I could find at a decient price. Had it been a non-trd at all I probably still would.have bought it. I can put arb's in both ends and still have less into it than the next least expensive optuon I've seen in the last 4 months. I almost turned Nissan because of tacos excelent resale. There aren't any options for this axle that are lsd and selectable locker are there? I remember reading about one for something and since it wasn't something I had at the time I guess I didn't put it in perminate memory.

The 4.0 is a rocket compared to the FZ especially since I never regeared it. Ride is definately more truck like than the 80 series - even modified. But since my father has a 09 or 10 TRD off-road and my kids and I just spent a week in WY with him and his truck it's not a shock. So far, and it's only been a couple days, I'm really liking it

From what I recall you have to lose the LSD when you install the locker.
