New tires for me 60...

kevin_g... yeah, I read more than a few places that the BFGs clog up in mud. Oh well. Once I get her up to the point of trusting her out in some serious mud, I might make the switch to MTRs.

MT/KMs don't clog up so much in mud. :)
I'm running 32x10.5R15s on another vehicle I own and had over 45k miles on em before I
parked it. Despite a 75 MPH sideways trip down a hill, they still have plenty of good tread and
no signs of seperation, etc. Since my 60 only has 31x10.5R15 WildCat MTs, I might swap 'em
from that other vehicle. :)

Of course, I omitted my point.
Michelin is, IMHO, the best brand of tire available mass produced for car, truck, motorcycle,
whatever. There's a reason Toyota uses em as an OEM tire.
BFG is made by Michelin. It's their budget brand. Nearly the quality, not nearly the price.
If you can afford Michelins, and can get them in a tread pattern that suits your needs, go
with Michelins. No question. If not, go with BFG.
I work in a tire shop. We see fewer Michelin, BFG and Yokohama tires come back
(proportionally) than any other brand. Fewer seperations, fewer blowouts at speed, fewer
broken belts, fewer factory defects.
Unfortunately, we don't sell enough MTRs to know how they hold up, but they are
supposedly the official tire of the US Border Patrol, so that might say something.

Actually, that reminds me of a good recommendation I heard from the guy installing my tires. The tires I picked (Firestone Destination M/T's) are the ONLY tires used by the local gypsum miners. They drive everywhere, dirt, rocks, roads, etc...

Find a local company that uses a lot of 4x4 vehicles- see what they are using.

I'm running 33x12.50's and they're great. Just drove from Louisiana to New Hampshire on em'

ATs will always suck in the mud - mud is its own world but they'll be awesome everywhere else.

I would get the 33x10.50x15 MT's and sipe the crap out of them.

TB :bounce:
