Just bought a set of BFG All-Terrain T/A KO 31x10.5x15 tires for my 60. I went ahead and bought 5 so I could update the spare, too. I am pretty excited about them.

Anyone else out there running these?

Hard to go wrong with any BFG.

I went with 37x12.50 17 MTR's. I doubt I'll get the mileage with those that BFG people get. Those 37" BFG's are so damn expensive.

A friend of mine has had the same set of BFG 31/10.5 on three different trucks and they still have plenty of tread. I think he's about to go larger though, he's getting tired of me calling him short! Here's to ya euclid :flipoff2:

Wat up jesterb?

Yeah, euclid go ahead and be proud of your tread. I am running the 31 x10.50s BGF as well. On a long commute like I have nothing beats it. Good choice jhstatts. However, next I'm going 33 x 90.50s. Let's go a little higher for only $100 bucks more for 5 tires.

what did you pay for these?

pvaman... I paid $112 each at TireRack.com. The shipping was steep at $95, but still not a bad price for 5 tires. Other places had them for $133 with no shipping charge, but that came out only $3 cheaper than TireRack and I have dealt with TireRack before. They got to me in three days.

Oops. I meant to say they came in yesterday and look great. I can't wait to get them on the 60.

I got a great deal on my 37" MTR's from Walmart.

Yeah, I tried Wal-Mart first, but they didn't stock what I needed.

well...i'm really needing some tires and i'm running Michelins 31x10.5x15 and these BFG All-Terrain T/A KO 's look pretty good. We've got a tire kingdom down the street...i'll checkout what they're selling them for.

I *love* my 31x10.5 MTR's. Not much road noise at highway speed either. Balanced up fine too.

I wanted MTRs to start with, but don't off-road enough to justify having them. The BFG T/A KOs are a good balance of both on- and off-road.

I have the 31x10.5x15 BFG T/A KOs and they are working great for me. I don't worry about mileage too much since the cruiser sees about 7500 miles a year. How often are people rotating the tires and is the correct order(my code: D= Driver, P= Passenger, F=front, R=rear) DF to DR and PF to PR, DR to PF and PR to DF.

Looks pretty funny now that I look at it, hopefully someone can post a diagram that explain better than my code.

Thanks,
Dave.

I have yet to have my tires installed. I read a lot of good reviews about the BFGs though.

Dave,

I cross rotate too, every 5k miles. Probably a little OCD'ish, but I like even wear on tires.

The pattern I use is the front tires switch sides and go to the rear. The rear tires move directly forward. This way if there is a belt alignment issue in the tire, the tire has 5k to work it out before it becomes a front tire.

Weird, but this works for me.

I too am running 31x10.5 BFG AT/KOs. They were on my fj62 when I bought it and they looked newish then in 04/2003. I have put ~15,000 miles on the 62 since then and the tires appear to be lasting pretty well. I used to drive a 1999 Tacoma with 31x10.5 BFG AT/KOs as well. I put those tires on in 2000 put almost 60,000 miles on them by 4/2003 when I sold the truck and the guy who bought my truck made a comment some thing like "these tires look pretty new, how many miles on them?" He was a little surprised when I told him. I have no delusions that the ones on the 62 will last nearly as long. As far as rotating, I just put the backs on the front and visa-versa without changing sides. I do this at every other oil change (~6000 mi.).

I find that they get decent traction on dry and wet pavement, dirt and snow but suck in the mud.
